For Destiny’s Child fans holding their breath for a reunion tour, please let the air out, cause’ it ain’t gonna happen!
Huffingtonpost reports that Kelly Rowland, in an interview with Us Weekly, said that she and fellow Independent Women Beyoncé Knowles and Michelle Williams haven’t even discussed getting back together.
“It hasn’t been something that we’ve talked about at all,” Rowland said. “We’ve just been enjoying each other, whether it’s been about our music, whether it’s been about motherhood or our personal lives. That’s what it’s really been about. That’s been the most beautiful part.”
The 34-year-old new mom added, “We love each other.”
Williams told E! News in 2013 that it would take “something epic and worthwhile and amazing” to get the Destiny’s Child together.
“I’m never going to say never, but it’ll be a long time,” said Williams.
But even though we see less and less of Destiny’s Child together, all of the group members are staying busy. Beyoncé is raising daughter Blue Ivy and recently performed at Jay Z’s TIDAL X concert in Brooklyn. Rowland gave birth to son Titan Witherspoon in November 2014 and is busy with a role on Season 2 of “Empire.” And Michelle Williams landed a guest appearance on Bounce TV’s “Family Time” and has appeared on Broadway over the years.
Well, the old Kanye West returned in rare form last night with his old award show antics. After Beck won Best Album of the Year (beating Beyoncé’ in the same category), Kanye bum-rushed the stage saying, “If they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us,” the rapper said. “Flawless Beyoncé’ video, and Beck needs to respect artistry, and he should have given his award to Beyoncé.”
This was reminiscent of his infamous stage bomb 2009 VMAs incident, where he grabbed Taylor Swift’s award for Best Female Video and ranted about how Beyoncé deserved to win.
Rollingstone reports that Beck handled the jab like a champion. “I was just so excited he was coming up,” he told US Weekly during the Universal Music Group after-party. “[West] deserves to be onstage as much as anybody. How many great records has he put out in the last five years, right?” The alt-rock icon also confirmed he wasn’t offended by the rapper’s post-Grammy comments: “I thought she was going to win. Come on, she’s Beyonce! . . . You can’t please everybody, man. I still love [West] and think he’s genius. I aspire to do what he does.”
Beyonce and Jay Z were seen having a disagreement over dinner in Los Angeles.
Is there trouble in paradise for the superstar couple Beyoncé and Jay Z? As the couple prepare to move from NY to LA , Radaronlinehas reported that they were seen having a disagreement over dinner in a Los Angeles restaurant.
“Last August, Beyoncé’s father Matthew Knowles attempted to put divorce rumors to rest for the couple, calling it all a publicity stunt for ticket sales. But just two months ago, the hip-hop couple sparked new split rumors when Beyoncé dropped a new single all about infidelity.
“To the public, Beyoncé and Jay Z appear to have it all,” one source shared. “But behind close doors, they are not as happy as people think they are.” This dinner date says it all. Let’s hope they can settle their differences!”
