Damn. Sometimes if you know you got to pay, you have to figure the best thing to do is not show up at a high profile event if you owe.

Boombox.com reports that Scarface’s honorary tribute at the 2015 BET Hip-Hop Awards ended on a sour note after the rap legend was reportedly arrested backstage after receiving his prestigious I Am Hip-Hop Award on Friday (Oct. 9).

According to photographer/blogger Freddy-O, the Houston rhymer was leaving the stage when reportedly 10 sheriffs approached ‘Face and subsequently arrested him. Insiders informed the blogger that Scarface was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant in the State of Texas for unpaid child support. Freddy-O writes:

Scarface was so concerned about accepting his award and not disappointing his fans he risked being arrested. Snoop was back stage when Scarface was arrested and was upset that; the great moment ended on a sour note. The incident resulted in the show being delayed.”

As we previously reported, Scarface received the coveted I Am Hip-Hop Award for his venerable career in rap music. Fellow rapper Ludacris presented the honor to the former Geto Boys rhymer who delivered a very short acceptance speech. “I’m not (expletive) without y’all,” he said while raising the award in the air before walking off.

Reps for Scarface had no comment on the matter. According to AllHipHop.com, the veteran rapper was in great spirits before he accepted his award and there was no indication that something was awry.

Hopefully, Scarface has rectify his situation and is out of police custody. This is not how a rap legend should go out at a hip-hop awards show.

In the meantime, the 2015 BET Hip-Hop Awards will air on BET on Oct. 13 at 8PM ET. To check out photos from the event, head over to BET.com.

After a well publicized beef on social media for some time now, superstar divas Tamar Braxton and K. Michelle has decided to bury the hatchet and performed together at the recent BET Awards show.

The Boombox reports that before they sang their duet, K. Michelle hit the stage first and proceeded to kick a rap before performing her latest hit, “Miss You, Goodbye.” Initially sporting a skirt, she disrobed to showcase a risque two-piece and wowed the crowd with her vocal ability.

“This is actually the first time we’ll be meeting each other,” Tamar said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I’m just really excited. I’m about girls sticking up for each other and being there for each other. It’s just time for all the nonsense to stop. Let’s just empower each other and be great.”

K. Michelle has also been in a peaceful mood as of late, making nice with VH1 reality TV star Draya just last week and seems to be pushing for more unity as well.

Tamar then gets her share of a solo show, choosing to perform her song “If I Don’t Have You.” The singer donned a silky gold number and matching fur. One thing that couldn’t go unnoticed was Tamar’s eyelashes (perhaps fake?), which seemed to be bothering her during the performance.

At the tail-end of her set, Tamar apologized to K. Michelle in the name of unity before the two burst into a duet of  Patti LaBelle‘s “If Only You Knew.” In the middle of the performance, the crowd received a big surprise when LaBelle herself joined them.

In a sign of solidarity, both Tamar and K. Michelle embraced at the end of the performance, marking an end to their bitter rivalry.
