Love and Hip Hop Atlanta’s Kirk Frost Arrested

Love and Hip Hop star/husband to rapper Rashida, Kirk Frost was arrested in Atlanta, GA on last Sunday according to, police confirmed that about 400 dirt bikes, ATVs and other motorized vehicles were traveling near Ralph McGill and Piedmont avenues on Sunday afternoon when an Atlanta Police Department officer noticed several of them were running red lights and driving on the wrong side of the road.

When the officer approached the vehicles, he was surrounded as they “popped wheelies and drove very recklessly,” according to a police report.
The officer then noticed a three-wheeled, red Polaris Slingshot near the back of the pack that ran multiple red lights and drove on the wrong side of the road. After pulling the vehicle over, he arrested Kirk Frost on multiple charges, including reckless driving, operating an unregistered vehicle, failure to stop for an emergency vehicle, driving on the wrong side of the roadway and five counts of failure to obey a traffic control device.

Frost, a 46-year-old who frequently appears the VH1 show “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” wasn’t the only one to go to jail that evening for allegedly joyriding around Atlanta.

Demarcus Jordan, 28, was arrested at a gas station on Moreland Avenue after allegedly blocking traffic near the I-20 eastbound expressway with a pack of other dirt bike and ATV drivers. While on the scene, the responding officer noticed “approximately 30-50 dirt bikes start to circle the location,” according to a police report.

Jordan was charged with reckless driving and operating an off-road vehicle on a city street after attempting to flee the scene on his dirt bike, police said.

Frost and Jordan were released from the Atlanta city jail on Monday after posting $3,502 and $2,131 bond, respectively.

Frost and Jordan were just two of hundreds of off-road vehicle drivers to take to Atlanta’s streets this past weekend, participating in an event known as #RayDay5. The Instagram hashtag includes several photos of dirt bike and ATV riders navigating public roads in and around the city — which is illegal, according to state laws.

Game Loses Defamation Lawsuit for Instagram Post Gone Wrong

Rapper Game went on a tirade two years ago on Instagram, trashing his then babysitter for drinking and smoking excessively around his children and accused her of leaving a condom in his daughter’s bedroom.

Well now because he ignored his court petition to appear on defamation charges filed by the babysitter, he may have to pay the price.

Karen Monroe claims she lost her job as Nas and Kelis’ nanny after Game’s Instagram post and was unable to find work for another celebrity couple causing her to suffer emotional distress, depression, extreme mood swings and loss of income.

Game was ordered to pay Monroe $200k after failing to respond to her lawsuit.

K. Michelle Snaps Back on CoCo from SWV

During K. Michelle’s and Tamar’s performance with Patti LaBelle during the BET Awards show (see here), SWV’s lead singer CoCo was throwing top level shade via Twitter about what was going down on stage.

CoCo stirred the pot after a retweeting to her fans what she thought about K. Michelle’s vocals, and later K. responded in her own fashion…soundly. See below:

Tip of the day 6/30/15: Learn to be unaffected by the words of others

Tip of the day banner 2

Most people get angry when someone calls them outside of their name.  If I called you a water bottle would you get mad at that?  Of corse not, in fact you might think I was crazy.  A person that is calling you names is acting like a child, if someone is mad at you demeaning your name doesn’t do anything but make them look childish.  In the entertainment business this happens all the time; so the next time it happens brush it off your shoulders.  They win if you go off.  I understand they can try to test you; there is a thin line between brushing something off and allowing someone to continually disrespect you.  Choose your battles wisely because some people are seeking your energy and they get it if you snap.  Occasionally you may have to get rid of people in “real life” not just “social media.”

B**** Betta Take My Money: Rihanna Slaps BET CEO in the Face with a Stack of Cash

After seven years of being absent from the BET Awards show, superstar Rihanna attended with the purpose of promoting her new single ‘Bitch Betta’ Have My Money’. BET CEO Stephen Hill however was not going to allow Rihanna to make it ‘rain’ on the audience with a stack of cash during the show. That’s when she slapped him in the face with the bundle of dinero.

A cameraman caught Rihanna arguing with Stephen just before going on stage to introduce her video. She was seen throwing a stack of cash in his face while saying what appeared to be saying ‘That’s why I hate coming to BET.’

J.R. Myth was in attendance and tweeted:

Am I the only person that saw this???

Stephen and Rihanna kissed and made up a little later though as seen below:

K. Michelle and Tamar Braxton Kiss and Makeup at BET Awards (Video)

After a well publicized beef on social media for some time now, superstar divas Tamar Braxton and K. Michelle has decided to bury the hatchet and performed together at the recent BET Awards show.

The Boombox reports that before they sang their duet, K. Michelle hit the stage first and proceeded to kick a rap before performing her latest hit, “Miss You, Goodbye.” Initially sporting a skirt, she disrobed to showcase a risque two-piece and wowed the crowd with her vocal ability.

“This is actually the first time we’ll be meeting each other,” Tamar said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I’m just really excited. I’m about girls sticking up for each other and being there for each other. It’s just time for all the nonsense to stop. Let’s just empower each other and be great.”

K. Michelle has also been in a peaceful mood as of late, making nice with VH1 reality TV star Draya just last week and seems to be pushing for more unity as well.

Tamar then gets her share of a solo show, choosing to perform her song “If I Don’t Have You.” The singer donned a silky gold number and matching fur. One thing that couldn’t go unnoticed was Tamar’s eyelashes (perhaps fake?), which seemed to be bothering her during the performance.

At the tail-end of her set, Tamar apologized to K. Michelle in the name of unity before the two burst into a duet of  Patti LaBelle‘s “If Only You Knew.” In the middle of the performance, the crowd received a big surprise when LaBelle herself joined them.

In a sign of solidarity, both Tamar and K. Michelle embraced at the end of the performance, marking an end to their bitter rivalry.

Nick Gordon Claims He Has been Scapegoated in Bobbi Kristina Incident

Since Bobbi Kristina has been moved to hospice care (see here) last week, her boyfriend Nick Gordon has come under some intense scrutiny from her family. The Houston’s reportedly have filed criminal domestic abuse charges against Gordon, as well as claims saying that he stole $10,000 from Houston.

People reports that Gordon is holed up in an Orlando-area home, watching TV and checking the Internet for any information on Brown’s condition, as well as any further legal developments.

“He feels – and we all feel – like Nick has been a scapegoat in this case,” a close relative of Gordon’s tells PEOPLE. “It’s scary for him, because he hasn’t done anything wrong. He is completely innocent.”

“He has always cooperated with police, and he has nothing to hide,” the relative continues. “Anyone who looks at the facts would see that.”

On Thursday, the Fulton County district attorney confirmed that his office is reviewing the Jan. 31 incident that left Brown incapacitated.

“We will be reviewing the case with greater interest,” Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr. told PEOPLE in a statement.

The relative says that Gordon is holding up as well as can be expected. “It’s a stressful time for him,” says the relative. “He’s not doing too well, but he’s being as strong as he can.”
